Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier Participates in District 3870 Club Leadership Learning Seminar


The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier participated in the District 3870 Club Leadership Learning Seminar held at the VIP Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro, the seminar gathered Rotary leaders and members from across the district for a day of learning, collaboration, and leadership development in preparation for the incoming Rotary year.



Representing the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier were President-Elect Mae Grace Siao together with members of her board, namely PAG Maite Sarraga, PAG Mae Allyn Linaac, Rotarian Krisha June Burgos, Rotarian Rowens Adame, and Rotarian Charlyn Macaraeg-Benitez. The delegation actively participated in the discussions and breakout sessions designed to equip club leaders with the tools and strategies needed to strengthen their clubs and maximize their impact in their respective communities.


The seminar featured an impressive roster of speakers and facilitators from Rotary District 3870 and beyond. Rotary Membership Coordinator PDG Anna Louisa Bumagat shared valuable insights on membership growth and engagement, emphasizing the importance of building strong and sustainable clubs. Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator PDG Rodel Riezl Reyes highlighted the role of The Rotary Foundation and annual giving in creating lasting and meaningful impact through Rotary service projects.


Lead CADRE Organizer for the South Pacific Michael Lirio spoke about the importance of the Philippine Rotary Magazine in promoting Rotary’s mission, sharing inspiring stories, and strengthening communication and awareness among Rotarians across the country.


Also sharing their expertise and experiences during the seminar were PDG John Mark Sarraga, PDG Teresita Navales, PAG Mer Sudaria, PAG Dale Lagonera, PAG Colbert Rabaya, PAG Ellen Selecios, and President Stephanie Caragos. Their sessions covered a wide range of topics relevant to club leadership, membership engagement, service, fellowship, public image, and overall club effectiveness.





For the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier, the seminar served not only as a learning experience but also as an opportunity to strengthen fellowship with fellow Rotarians across the district. The club continues to prioritize leadership development and continuous learning as it prepares for another year of meaningful service guided by the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”



Through seminars such as this, Rotary leaders are empowered to innovate, collaborate, and lead with purpose—ensuring that Rotary remains relevant, impactful, and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.#
