Premier Sponsors Gugma sa Kabataan Children for Jiu-Jitsu Workshop

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier sponsored 10 children from Gugma sa Kabataan to participate in Cagayan de Oro's first-ever Jiu-Jitsu Workshop and Tournament on July 18, 2026, at the 2nd Floor Co-Event Space, Robinsons Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.

Organized by Studio D and Forge Jiu-Jitsu, the workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, providing the children with an opportunity to learn self-defense while developing confidence, discipline, respect, and self-control. Beyond the techniques taught on the mat, the activity encouraged teamwork, resilience, and personal growth in a fun and supportive environment.

By sponsoring the children's participation, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier helped ensure they could take part in this milestone event and experience the many values that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotes. At the conclusion of the workshop, each child received a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their participation.

New Generations Chair Precious Go represented the club during the activity and joined the children throughout the event.
