Premier Opens Year with Family Fellowship at Kiddie Korner

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier held its first fellowship of the 2026-2027 Rotary year on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at Kiddie Korner in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

The fellowship was organised by newly inducted Rotarian Jaynah Boado, whose family owns and operates the family-friendly amusement park. Nine club members, together with their spouses and children, spent the afternoon enjoying the park's attractions and each other's company.

Unlike regular club meetings, the gathering had no formal programme. Instead, members focused on strengthening friendships by spending quality time with their families. Parents and children rode the attractions together, shared meals, and caught up outside the usual Rotary setting.

The club's children, many of whom have become friends through Rotary activities, spent the afternoon playing together while members took turns watching one another's children, allowing everyone to enjoy the rides. The evening concluded with the park's fireworks display, which families watched together before heading home.

Fellowship is one of Rotary's core values, providing members opportunities to build stronger relationships beyond service projects and weekly meetings. The club's first fellowship of the year reflected that spirit, bringing members and their families together as they look ahead to another year of service.#
