Premier Makes the News at Fourth Membership Meeting

Copies of newspaper stories featuring the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier took center stage during the club’s fourth General Membership Meeting for Rotary Year 2026-2027, as PAG Mer Sudaria personally delivered the publications to members during the gathering.

The hand delivery gave members a chance to see Premier’s activities documented in print and shared with a wider public. For the club, the published stories also served as a record of its work in the community and an opportunity for more people to learn about Rotary through local service stories.

The meeting also drew the club’s strongest attendance yet and was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members to participate both in person and online. Although the group encountered a few technical difficulties, members attending virtually were displayed on the projector and were able to give their reports as if they were present in the room.

PAG Sudaria’s visit became one of the evening’s most memorable moments as members received and looked through copies of the newspaper coverage. The club also welcomed AG James Dagondon as a guest during the meeting, held under the leadership of President Mae Grace Siao.

Action Group 3 handled the evening’s program and incorporated the International Day of Charity into the gathering by inviting members to dress in blue, red, or white.

Serving as program coordinator, PAG Anna Katrina Sarraga added some friendly competition throughout the night with Rotary and general trivia questions, awarding prizes to members who answered correctly.

The meeting also welcomed a younger set of visitors. Director Ma. Jennifer Precious Go was joined by her children, Via, 7, and Tummy, 4. Xavi, 3, and Luka, 1, the children of PAG Maria Teresa Sarraga, made brief appearances during the evening while their family was dining elsewhere in the mall.

While club business and fellowship filled the rest of the program, the newspapers provided the evening’s defining moment. Seeing Premier’s stories in print offered members a tangible reminder that sharing the club’s work helps extend the reach of its service beyond those directly involved in its projects.#
