New Interactors Attend First Orientation at St. Mary's School

The Interact Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier conducted its first orientation for new members on Friday at the 7 Blue classroom of St. Mary's School, the club's official meeting venue. The session began at 4:00 p.m. and concluded promptly at 5:00 p.m., marking the start of another year of leadership and service for the school's newest Interactors.

Past President Maria Teresa Sarraga-Malawani, adviser and trainer of the Interact Club since its charter in 2017, facilitated the orientation. She introduced students to Rotary and Interact, explaining the organizations' purpose, core values, and commitment to developing young leaders through service. Members were also given an overview of the club's calendar and the activities planned for the school year.

St. Mary's School Principal Sir Ian Zapanta attended the orientation, demonstrating the school's continued support for the Interact Club and its leadership development programs.

To ensure that students who were unable to attend the first session will also receive the same introduction, a second orientation is being planned. Members are then scheduled to elect their officers on Friday next week, officially launching the club's leadership team for the school year.#
