Interact Club Elects Full Leadership Team for New School Year

The Interact Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier elected its officers for the 2026-2027 school year during a meeting held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Mary's School. The gathering also served as a second orientation for students who were unable to attend the club's initial orientation the previous week.

Past President Maria Teresa Sarraga-Malawani, adviser and moderator of the Interact Club, facilitated the orientation and oversaw the election. Students were introduced to Rotary and Interact, the club's purpose and goals, and the activities planned for the school year before proceeding with the election of officers. Members nominated candidates, and officers were elected through a show of hands.

Composed primarily of Grade 9 and Grade 10 students, the newly elected leadership team reflects a promising group of young leaders who will guide the club's activities throughout the school year.

The election marks a significant milestone for the Interact Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier. For the first time since the pandemic, the club has elected a complete set of student officers, providing a strong foundation as it resumes regular meetings, leadership development programs, and service projects.

The club is scheduled to hold its strategic planning session next week, where the newly elected officers will begin setting priorities and planning projects for the year ahead.#
