CDO Premier Named Finalist in Regional Public Image Awards

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier has been named one of three finalists from Rotary International District 3870 in the Regional Public Image Awards, following a months-long review of more than 700 entries from Rotary clubs across the region.

Joining CDO Premier as District 3870 finalists are the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban and the Rotary Club of Metro Valencia.

The Regional Public Image Team, headed by Past District Governor Mildred Vitangcol, evaluated the entries over several months before determining the finalists. The awards recognize Rotary clubs for their efforts to strengthen Rotary’s public image and communicate the organization’s work and impact to their communities.

For CDO Premier, the finalist recognition reflects the club’s continuing effort to make public image an integral part of its service. Through its social media platforms, website, weekly Premier Times bulletin, project documentation, and public awareness initiatives, the club has worked to tell the stories behind its projects and the people and communities involved in them.

The recognition also highlights the role of consistent storytelling in helping the public better understand what Rotary does. Beyond documenting club activities, CDO Premier’s public image efforts aim to connect its service projects with a wider audience, recognize partners and beneficiaries, and encourage greater awareness of Rotary’s causes.

The winners of the Regional Public Image Awards will be announced on September 12, 2026, during the joint Membership, Rotary Foundation, and Public Image Awards at Casa Ibarra in Pasay City.

With only three clubs from District 3870 advancing as finalists from a field of more than 700 entries reviewed regionally, CDO Premier heads to the September awards representing the district alongside Cagayan de Oro East Urban and Metro Valencia.#
