CDO Premier Joins Area 1 Governor's Address Celebration

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier joined fellow Rotarians from Area 1 of Rotary International District 3870 for the Joint Governor's Address on October 15, 2026, at Emerald 2, Limketkai Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. Led by District Governor Maureen Cacabelos, the gathering celebrated the accomplishments of participating clubs and recognized their contributions to Rotary's mission of service.
Representing RC Cagayan de Oro Premier were President Mae Grace Siao, Past Presidents Mae Allyn Linaac, Arrissa Navarro, and Maybelle Quilnat-Abogado, and Rotarians Mikaela Briones and Ricarr Wee Chiong.

The Governor's Address provided an opportunity for Area 1 clubs to reflect on their accomplishments during the Rotary year and celebrate their collective efforts in serving their communities. Rather than focusing solely on plans for the months ahead, the gathering placed emphasis on recognizing what Rotarians have already achieved together.

The program also featured a joint induction ceremony for participating Area 1 clubs, welcoming new members into the Rotary family. The District likewise presented recognitions related to The Rotary Foundation and Rotary's polio eradication efforts, highlighting two important areas of Rotary service.
Adding a festive touch to the occasion was the evening's Glam Rock theme. With its rock-inspired attire and lively atmosphere, the event brought together the formal traditions of Rotary and the fellowship that connects members across clubs.
For RC Cagayan de Oro Premier, the gathering was an opportunity to reconnect with fellow Rotarians, share in the District's accomplishments, and celebrate the continuing spirit of service within Area 1.
As the Rotary year progresses, the Joint Governor's Address served as a reminder that every club's contribution forms part of a larger effort to create lasting impact in the communities Rotary serves.#
