Family of Rotary Day
September 30, 2019, Cagayan de Oro City. – The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier held its very first Family of Rotary Day last Saturday, 21 September 2019 in Mountain Meadows, Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. The day was meant to introduce members of our Rotary family to one another and to have everyone partake in fellowship and teambuilding activities. As such, the event involved not just members of RC CDO Premier, but also members of the Interact Club of CDO Premier (based in St. Mary's School), as well as members of the Rotaract Club of Carmen Valley.
The whole-day event also served as a Leadership Training Program for the members and officers of the Interact Club of St. Mary’s School with the RC CDO Premier members and the Rotaract Carmen Valley members serving as facilitators. It was a day full of fun teambuilding games and exercises as well as President Maite Sarraga’s now-famous “Amazing Race” activity which was so enjoyable, nobody wanted the day to end – until, of course, the sun setting made the decision for the participants. All in all, it was a very successful bonding, teambuilding and leadership training activities. The students came away enriched, inspired and invigorated, while the “adults” were able to hold our heads high by being able to win some of the games against our youthful competitors.
So, congratulations to President Maite and Sec. Krisha for a great day! Special thanks to PAG Bebotte Chu of the Rotary CDO East Urban for allowing us to use her retreat house for the event.
