Aklat at Laruan para sa Silid Aralan
Cagayan de Oro City – The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier closed Aklat at Laruan para sa Silid Aralan on Saturday, 14 October 2017. The project was a month-long book and toy drive for the benefit of the learners at Silid Aralan, Inc.’s Cagayan de Oro learning hub. The program was a continuation of an activity carried out by the club earlier in the year for Basic Education and Literacy Month.
RC CDO Premier visited the identified learners at East City Central School over the weekend. The Rotarians brought with them merienda composed of Spanish bread and juice packets along with their gifts for the students.
The club first visited the non-profit in September at the launch of, as of yet, their only base in Mindanao. There, they arranged for the purchase of the organization’s prescribed educational toys and games. Additional toys and books were also collected by club members over the course of a few weeks and turned over to the organization at the event.
At present, there are 103 learners at the Cagayan de Oro learning hub.
